I purchased the light gray. I was also torn between this and the navy, but I chose this one because it's a color you don't often see on jackets. Matching the top and bottom gives a bright impression. I tried on both and chose the light gray. It was spring/summer so it looked cool, and the navy was too formal. I think the navy is perfect for a ceremony. I matched it with a skirt, but I also recommend wearing it over a dress. It's quite short, so unless you have high-waisted bottoms or a dress, the gap between your bottoms and the jacket will be noticeable when viewed from behind... If you pay attention to that, the appeal is that it makes you look neat and stylish!
